During the National Water Conservancy Work Conference on January 16, 2023, the Ministry of Water Resources declared that Yunnan Province achieved the second-highest completion rate in water conservancy construction investment and ranked first in water conservancy investment and financing reform.
Yunnan Province has placed significant emphasis on innovating the investment and financing models for water conservancy projects. Between 2021 and 2022, the province engaged in research and consulting services for various major water conservancy endeavors, including the second phase of the Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project, Wenshan Qingshuihe Water Conservancy Project, Lijiang Pumping Reservoir, Chuxiong Xiaoshimen Reservoir, Dali Taoyuan Reservoir, and Qujing Heitanhe Reservoir. Presently, key projects like the second phase of the Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project and the Heitan River Reservoir are already underway.
