On February 26, 2021, the social capital bidding process for the PPP project of the North-South Transit Highway of Baise City (Baise North Ring Line) was successfully completed. Focused on the construction of the "five networks" and accelerating the modern infrastructure construction system, the Guangxi transport department has identified 35 new highway projects planned for 2020-2023 in accordance with the principle of "priority and classification", of which a total of 22 highway projects are promoted through the PPP mode. As the first among the initial batch of 6 expressway projects in Guangxi and the pioneering expressway PPP project in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Baise North Ring Road has provided valuable experience for the steady and rapid advancement of subsequent Guangxi expressway PPP projects.
The Baise North Ring Road spans the western region of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, stretching from Baise City to Tianyang District and the northern part of Youjiang District, covering a total length of 53.456 kilometers. It commences near Zhitang Village, Naman Town, Tianyang District, Baise City, and concludes near Narin, Youjiang District, Baise City, connecting with the Baise to Longlin Expressway, which has already been completed and opened to traffic. The total investment for the project is estimated to be approximately 8.077 billion yuan. The completion of this project will further enhance the highway network in Guangxi and hold positive significance for promoting tourism resource connectivity in Baise, integrating tourism resources along the periphery, and stimulating economic development.
